Dr. Emily McMahan

Dr. Emily McMahan attended the University of Cincinnati where she received her bachelor’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She furthered her professional education by obtaining her Doctorate in Audiology from Salus University. Dr. McMahan has been practicing in the Pacific Northwest, specifically Alaska since her graduation. She has been a private practice owner for the past 6.5 years. She is a commissioned officer for the Mayor’s Senior Advisory Commission helping to protect the aging population and existing seniors in AK. Dr. McMahan has shown her community a positive approach to hearing healthcare and has been repeatedly recognized as a top provider.  In addition to her private practice work Dr. McMahan is an Audiology consultant helping her fellow providers elevate their practices.

She is Certified in Audiology by the American Board of Audiology and she holds ABA certificates in both Tinnitus Management and Audiology Preceptor. Volunteering to further the profession of Audiology is an important aspect of her career. Regularly hosting Audiology students is an important aspect of her private practice. She has held the following board position with Audiology Practice Standards Organization: Treasurer 2020, Vice President 2021, & President-Elect 2022.
