Dr. Kathryn Miles Jackson founded Upstate Hearing and Balance in 2021 out of a passion for helping those with hearing loss and dizziness. Previously, she had been working in both the private practice setting in Hendersonville, NC and with a team of Ear, Nose, and Throat specialists in the upstate of SC and in Raleigh, NC performing both diagnostics and management care for patients of all ages.
She focuses on using Audiology Best Practices, including utilizing probe microphone based real ear measurements through speech mapping for optimal hearing device fitting, and complete diagnostic testing, including speech in noise testing. Educating her patients so that they understand the diagnostic and treatment process is at the forefront of her practice.
Dr. Jackson earned a Doctorate in Audiology from the University of Maryland in 2015, and completed her externship at a large Ear, Nose, Throat, and Allergy specialty practice in the Baltimore area, a member of Johns Hopkins Medicine. She is certified by the American Board of Audiology and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology.
A Palmetto State native, she has lived in the Greenville area since 2017 with her husband, three sons and a baby girl. They stay very busy as a family and can usually be found exploring Greenville on the weekend, and are members of Redeemer Presbyterian Church. Her favorite sound is her children’s laughter.
