Jamie Ekstrom, Au.D. is an audiologist at Sounds of Life Hearing Center who provides compassionate, evidence-based hearing and tinnitus care for adults. She has a special interest in tinnitus evaluation and treatment and is a trained Lenire provider. Her approach combines careful diagnostic testing with education, counseling, and personalized rehabilitation to help patients better understand their hearing and feel confident about their care.
A Parma, Ohio native, Dr. Ekstrom earned her Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology and Audiology from Kent State University and her Doctor of Audiology degree through the Northeast Ohio Au.D. Consortium. She completed her final year of clinical training at Sounds of Life, where her skill, warmth, and commitment to patient-centered care made her a natural fit for the team.
Dr. Ekstrom believes excellent audiology starts with listening. She takes time to understand each patient’s concerns, explain results in a way that makes sense, and develop recommendations based on evidence and each person’s individual needs. Her gentle, thoughtful approach is especially meaningful for patients with tinnitus or those who may feel anxious or uncertain about seeking hearing care.
Outside the office, Jamie enjoys building intricate LEGO sets, watching true crime documentaries, and catching up on reality TV.
