Dr. Chandace Jeep has owned Animas Valley Audiology since 2008. She holds a Clinical Doctorate of Audiology and graduated from the University of Northern Colorado in 2006. Her 4th year Audiology Externship was at Denver Ear Associates where specialties related to hearing, tinnitus, and vestibular assessment and management were gained. Clinical experiences from private practices include offices located in Colorado Springs, Parker, Castle Rock, and Englewood. She conducted and published original research in 2005-2006 on the effects of voluntary contraction of the middle ear muscles on Otoacoustic Emissions. Dr. Jeep consulted for a manufacturer of hearing aids and educated patients and other hearing healthcare professionals on hearing loss and advancements in amplification technology from 2006-2008. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA), member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), and a member of the Colorado Academy of Audiology (CAA). Her specialties include evaluation and diagnosis of hearing loss in newborns, infants, children, and adults, fitting of amplification on all ages, tinnitus evaluation and management, and fitting of bone anchored hearing aids/processors. She is the Audiology Regional Coordinator for two local birthing hospitals, Mercy Regional Medical Center and Southwest Memorial Hospital, and helps track newborn hearing screenings.
Dr. Jeep is a Durango native and was thrilled to return to beautiful southwestern Colorado in 2008 with her husband, three children, and their white lab. Having grown up here, patients note the personal touch she has when providing hearing healthcare services, which stems from loving the Four Corners community and the people who live here. She has a soft spot in her heart for public educators and first responders, as her mother-in-law is a retired teacher from DHS and her husband is a firefighter/EMT with the Durango Fire Protection District. Her interests outside of hearing healthcare include skiing, hiking, snowshoeing, golf, and cheering on her kids at their various sporting events and music concerts.
