About Ask An Audiologist

Ask An Audiologist is run by a group of audiologists who want to give accurate information about hearing health on topics like hearing losstinnitushearing aids, implant devices, and assistive listening devices.

Who We Are

Audiologists who work in private practice are out in the field, fitting people from all walks of life with different levels of technology. Unlike manufacturers or researchers, they see firsthand what works and what doesn’t work as their patients deal with hearing loss and day-to-day struggles. They have to stay up-to-date on treatment options for their patients.

They are answerable to their patients, not to a manufacturer, investors, or grant funding.

Doctors of Audiology are the only experts that are university-trained to not only understand the auditory system but also how hearing aid technology impacts the audition and how every individual’s hearing loss is unique like a thumbprint. There is no one-size-fits-all solution. From otoscopy, where wax could be the cause, to how the brain processes auditory information, these are the experts you want to HEAR from.
