Dr. Valerie Kun is a Board Certified Doctor of Audiology and first generation Taiwanese-American born and raised in Los Angeles. She received her undergraduate degree in Communicative Disorders at California State University, Los Angeles. Afterwards, she moved out to Illinois to obtain her Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) at Northwestern University.

Dr. Kun has a few family ties to audiology: her mother is a hearing aid dispenser and her older sister is an audiologist. Since she was young, she grew up with a knowledge of the hearing healthcare field and what it can provide for people with a hearing loss. She currently works as a clinical audiologist at Pacific Hearing Service, a private practice with two locations in Northern California. She specializes in hearing loss management through hearing aids and aural rehabilitation, wax removal, and tinnitus management. One of her passions in audiology is providing hearing healthcare to those who lack access to it, which she’s able to do by volunteering with Pacific Hearing Service locally and internationally.

Outside of caring for her patients, Dr. Kun enjoys taking her Siberian Husky to explore Northern California and on road trips to other states. She also enjoys visiting her family in Southern California, listening to podcasts, and watching comedic movies and television shows.
